Shop Local, Shop Handmade

Asher just found this link.
It's a great reminder to shop local.

And...I did shop local last weekend at the incredible Beehive Bazaar. Provo crafting ladies - you did it again! I have gorgeous new jewelry thanks to Armelle Jewelry, beautiful soap and yummy jellies that were given to two fabulous mother's today, and a few other surprises. I wish I would've taken a picture of all of the wares.

Also I visited a great antique store in Spanish Fork a few weeks back and picked up my first copy of the Joy of Cooking (perfectly turquoise), a gorgeous bowl (also turquoise), and a copy of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (red, not blue).

Asher and I are trying to bike to stores around our house to get to know Provo and hopefully to buy more local! Off to ride... (update- remember for future reference that nothing is open on sundays. nothing)

Just another reason I miss Utah...all the homemade craft shows!

P.S. I tagged you on my blog! Hope you play along! :)

I love that you are biking to stores. I have on my list of things I really want but don't have the money or justification to buy a bike. Or more specifically, a so cal girl can't just have a bike, but a beach cruiser. Somehow it would be less fun if Jon didn't have one too, and we all know two bikes cost twice as much as one!
And local artisans like me love that you not only support us, but that you promote us too.

I love my bike - but I've only ridden it about 3 times. I'm a little scared. : ) Becca - I will play along. I'm about 3 blog lists behind...
