New Chinese Friends

So my interest in Asian culture has been pretty limited - I typically dream of cobblestone streams, tea and crumpets, tapas, bakeries or other European specialities. I've been reading Memoirs of a Geisha (thanks to Hope for the correct pronunciation) and have become totall intrigued by Japanese history. That, along with having the opportunity to spend time with our Provo Craft China team last week has sparked the "I want to visit Asia" flame.  Anyway, they wanted to go to American stores  - because they work so hard in Product Development, they see a lot of the product that goes into the stores but have never seen the in a store, on a display. I got tasked to take the to all the stores they want, and take them to eat. It was such a great day. Seriously, I got paid to shop and eat. I love it! . We stopped in lots of craft stores, Tai Pain, Joanne's, Michaels, and then did some Target and Walmart shopping as well. We ate a TGIF, a true Americana restaurant, and then had delicious dessert at the Cheesecake Factory. Here are some fun pictures of our day.
