New York Part 1

It took a little while to find some free time since coming back from New York to update you of our adventures, but I finally am here, doing it. Thanks to Provo Craft, my generous employer, I was sent to Long Island to demonstrate one of our machines. I spent two hours on Saturday showing off all the things that the Cricut can do for paper crafts, wood working, home decor, cake making, you name it... They then paid for my hotel, car, food and airfare. Isn't that awesome? We bought Asher a flight and decided to make a weekend out of it.

Highlights for Asher include time with me, of course, but mainly his time alone on Saturday, perusing stores like Uniqlo, Supreme, and Barneys Co-Op. My favorite moments revolved around food. Surprise, surprise. I arrived in NYC 6am (4am my time) and I met up with Asher at a cute teahouse called Alice's Tea Cup. The whimsical decor, the delicious variety of teas and the mouthwatering scones made for the perfect start of a blustery winter day in the City.

We made it over to the Rockefeller Center, had a horribly overpriced dinner at TGIF's, I'm embarrassed to say, and generally wandered in the cold. We did happen upon a fun holiday market in Union Square that had fun pottery, gifts, food, all that good stuff. We also explored a huge bookstore - I was a girl in love. (Asher had the camera most of the day - I wasn't trying to be in all the pictures...)
